Curry is out with a sprained right ankle.

Curry has appeared in 59 games this season. The NBA icon is averaging 26.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists while shooting 44.9% from the field, 40.7% from beyond the arc and 92.0% from the free-throw line.

The Warriors are in 10th place in the Western Conference standings with a record of 34-30. Golden State would face the Los Angeles Lakers in the 9-10 play-in tournament game if the season ended today.

The Lakers beat the Warriors in the second round of the 2023 playoffs in six games. Golden State also lost a play-in game to Los Angeles in 2021.

Curry sprained his ankle on March 7 against the Chicago Bulls. The Warriors are 1-1 since their best player got hurt.

After the Warriors lost to the Bulls, Klay Thompson spoke about Curry’s injury.

“He had his ankle wrap on,” Thompson said. “Icing his ankle. I know we’re going to miss him … if he does have time off. We’ve been in this position before where he has had time off and we have to do it collectively. I know he’ll be ready to go when he does come back.”

The Warriors are seventh in the NBA in points per game and 18th in points per game allowed.

Curry is ninth in the league in points, ninth in points per game and first in 3-point field goals. It will be interesting to see when the future Hall of Famer returns to the court.
