The Wizards and rookie forward Isaiah Todd have reached agreement on a four-year contract, agents Wallace Prather and Steve Haney told Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Todd is 6-foot-10 and was selected with the first pick in the second round (No. 31 overall) of the July’s NBA Draft. He spent last season with the G League Ignite.
Per Charania, Todd’s deal with the Wizards is worth $7 million and includes three years guaranteed.
Todd wasn’t as big of an Ignite name as teammates Jalen Green or Jonathan Kuminga, both lottery picks, but still put together a strong season. He averaged 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 25 games.
He will be part of a Wizards big man rotation that already includes the likes of Thomas Bryant, Montrezl Harrell, Rui Hachimura, Daniel Gafford, Davis Bertans and Kyle Kuzma.
The Wizards acquired Todd as part of the multiteam deal that sent Russell Westbrook to the Lakers and landed Spencer Dinwiddie in Washington.
