Wizards guard Landry Shamet is expected to miss two-to-four weeks with a broken big toe, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
In addition, center Daniel Gafford is likely to miss the same amount of time with an injured elbow, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic. The injury will not require surgery, Robbins added.
Shamet, 26, was acquired from the Suns as part of the Bradley Beal trade, along with point guard Chris Paul (now with the Warriors). Shamet averaged 8.7 points and shot 38 percent on 3-pointers last season. He has also spent time with the Nets, 76ers and Clippers.
Gafford, 25, is entering his fourth season in Washington and appeared in 78 games last year, averaging 9.0 points and 5.6 rebounds. He started 47 of those games and shot 73 percent from the field overall.
