Thunder

Thunder wing Jalen Williams returned Monday from a hamstring injury, finishing with 18 points and six assists.

Williams said he’s feeling good physically, noting that his surgically repaired wrist is finally back to full strength.

“It was just like one of those things … I don’t know what my hands are going to look like,” he said, via ESPN’s Tim Bontemps. “Now I’ve had the time to actually sit down and work on it … now I’m in a really good spot.”

His absence created opportunities for several role players, something Williams believes could pay off moving forward.

“You guys got to watch [Ajay Mitchell] blossom even more,” he said. “[Jaylin Williams] and [Cason Wallace] … we’re better for it now.”

76ers

Sixers center Joel Embiid is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against Chicago, according to Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports.

Embiid has been sidelined since Feb. 26 with an oblique strain. He posted 26 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists in his most recent appearance.

While his numbers are down from previous seasons, Embiid is still averaging 26.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, with Philadelphia going 21-12 in games he has played.

Meanwhile, Paul George has completed his 25-game suspension and is eligible to return. Tony Jones of The Athletic indicated Embiid is expected to play, barring a setback.

Timberwolves

Timberwolves guard Ayo Dosunmu has been added to the injury report for Wednesday’s game against Houston due to right calf soreness.

He is listed as questionable, with Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic describing the issue as “concerning,” given the potential connection between calf injuries and Achilles issues.

Teams have generally taken a cautious approach with similar injuries this season.
