The Bulls are casting a wide net as they begin their search for new basketball operations leadership.
In addition to reported interest in Timberwolves general manager Matt Lloyd, NBC Sports’ Kurt Helin reports several other names have emerged as potential candidates following the dismissals of Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley.

Among them: Hawks assistant GM Kyle Korver, Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr., former Hawks GM Landry Fields and CAA executive Austin Brown, per Helin.
Dunleavy may be more of a long shot than a true target. As Helin notes, there’s a belief around the league that Golden State’s GM isn’t going anywhere, making him more of a “wish list” option for Chicago. Still, there’s familiarity there — he spent three seasons with the Bulls during his 15-year playing career.
Korver is another former Bull and a rising name on the executive side. After joining Atlanta in 2022, he was promoted to assistant GM in 2023 and has steadily built a reputation as a front office up-and-comer.
Fields, 37, also has recent GM experience, having led the Hawks for three seasons before being let go in 2025. Atlanta went a combined 117-129 during that stretch, making one playoff appearance.

He has since landed with Overtime Elite as president of league operations, with the program transitioning into a national prep league model, according to DraftExpress’ Jonathan Givony.
Then there’s Brown, one of the most influential agents in the NBA as co-head of CAA’s basketball division. His client list includes Donovan Mitchell, Cooper Flagg, Trae Young, Jaren Jackson Jr. and OG Anunoby, among others.
In other words, the Bulls aren’t zeroing in just yet. They’re surveying the landscape.
