Now we’ve got something.
The Cavaliers finally broke through in Game 3. Not perfect. Not comfortable. But good enough to remind everyone this series isn’t going anywhere quietly.
So just like that, Game 4 becomes the swing.
Win it, and you’re tied with momentum. Lose it, and you’re staring at 3-1 with Detroit back in control.

What to expect
Game 3 told you something important. When Cleveland plays downhill, everything opens up.
The Cavs stopped settling. They got into the paint, forced Detroit to collapse, and suddenly those perimeter looks weren’t rushed or contested. They were clean. In rhythm. The kind that actually go in.
That’s the blueprint.
Not just for scoring, but for control. When Mitchell and Harden are living in the lane, the game tilts. Rotations get late. Shooters get space. Bigs get easier touches.
It all connects.
On the other side, watch Cunningham. Cleveland did a better job making him work in Game 3, especially late, forcing him into tougher decisions instead of letting him dictate everything.
That has to continue.
Because Detroit’s confidence is real. You saw it when they missed 13 straight threes and still kept firing. Then suddenly, they hit seven of 10 and nearly flipped the game anyway.
That’s a team that believes. So this isn’t about who’s tougher or who wants it more. It’s about who controls the flow.
If the Cavs keep attacking first and shooting second, they can even this series and put all the pressure back on Detroit.
If they drift back into settling, trading jumpers, and letting the Pistons get comfortable?
Then you’re playing their game again. And that’s a dangerous place to be.
