Jaylen Brown hasn’t officially hit the trade market, and there’s still no indication the Boston Celtics are actively shopping him.
That said, several teams around the NBA are already monitoring the situation closely.
According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, some league figures believe the Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers all have “legitimate trade interest” in Brown.

Stein mentioned Brown while discussing the uncertain future of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the possibility of the Milwaukee Bucks star eventually becoming available.
According to Stein, Antetokounmpo is believed to have interest in Boston, though it remains unclear whether the Celtics would seriously pursue that path.
Any blockbuster scenario involving Giannis and Boston would likely require at least a three-team structure, with Brown potentially rerouted elsewhere while Milwaukee receives draft assets, young players or both.
If that type of framework ever gained traction, Atlanta, Houston and Portland are among the teams viewed as possible landing spots for Brown.
The Celtics star is coming off arguably the best season of his career.
Brown averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists across 71 games while earning his fifth All-Star appearance and a spot on the All-NBA Second Team. He also finished sixth in MVP voting after helping keep Boston near the top of the Eastern Conference yet again.
Of course, acquiring Brown would come with a massive financial commitment.
The 29-year-old still has three years and roughly $183 million remaining on the supermax extension he signed in 2023. But for teams searching for a proven two-way star in his prime, that price tag may not scare many people away.
Brown, a Georgia native, also remains one of the league’s most accomplished playoff performers in recent years after capturing NBA Finals MVP honors during Boston’s 2024 championship run.
