The Lakers have been linked to Jonathan Kuminga for much of the offseason. One new trade proposal would finally get him to Los Angeles.
Rohan Roman of Hawks on SI floated a three-team deal that would send Kuminga and center Jericho Sims to the Lakers, while the Hawks would land Bucks center Myles Turner. Milwaukee would receive a package headlined by former No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher, Jarred Vanderbilt and future draft picks.

It’s an ambitious proposal, to say the least. The Lakers reportedly remain interested in Kuminga, who would give them another athletic forward alongside Luka Doncic after LA spent much of the offseason trying to upgrade its frontcourt.
Roman also suggested the Lakers could sign Kuminga to a descending four-year contract worth roughly $85.5 million, giving both sides some long-term flexibility.
Whether Atlanta would actually move Kuminga in a sign-and-trade scenario is another matter. At any rate, Roman argued Turner would be a better fit for the Hawks’ current roster, while Milwaukee could replenish its collection of young players and draft assets as it continues reshaping the franchise.
Of course, it’s all hypothetical. Roman himself acknowledged there are hurdles for each team, making this more of an interesting offseason exercise than something that could become reality.
But hey, that’s what this part of the NBA calendar is for — rumors, real and otherwise.
