The Kings have found another guard, this time by turning to the reigning G League Rookie of the Year.
Sean Pedulla has agreed to a two-way contract with Sacramento, agent George S. Langberg told ESPN’s Shams Charania. Pedulla earned the G League’s top rookie honor for the 2025-26 season and appeared in seven NBA games for the Clippers.
The agreement follows reported interest from both the Kings and Raptors, with Sacramento evaluating several candidates for its open two-way spot. The Kings created that opening by waiving Adam Flagler.
Sacramento has been looking for help handling the ball since Ben Simmons suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. Pedulla gives the Kings another option without requiring a standard roster spot, along with a chance to see whether his G League success can translate to a larger NBA opportunity.
The search had taken Sacramento in several directions. According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report and The Stein Line, the Kings discussed potential trades involving Walter Clayton Jr. with the Grizzlies and Kevin Porter Jr. with the Bucks.
Clayton ultimately joined the Mavericks on a two-way deal, while Porter was waived by Milwaukee. Dalton Knecht, another player linked to Sacramento’s search, agreed to a two-way contract with the Knicks.
Now Pedulla gets his shot. Replacing Simmons is a bigger assignment than filling one two-way opening, but the Kings have added a young guard who has already given them a reason to take a look.
