Sean Pedulla is drawing interest from the Kings and Raptors as both teams evaluate options for their rosters.
Pedulla is among the candidates for Sacramento’s remaining two-way spot, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report and The Stein Line. Toronto has also considered the free agent guard.
“Sean Pedulla is also in the mix for Sacramento’s open two-way spot,” Fischer reported. “Sounds like Micah Peavy, Knecht, and Pedulla are under consideration for several overlapping teams, including Toronto for all three.”
Dalton Knecht has since agreed to a two-way deal with the Knicks, taking one option off the board.
The Kings have been searching for help at point guard since Ben Simmons suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. Sacramento opened a two-way spot by waiving Adam Flagler and explored trades before the regular season began.
“They were in talks with Memphis about potentially trading for Walter Clayton Jr.,” Fischer said. “They also spoke with Milwaukee about Kevin Porter Jr., who was himself waived by the Bucks.”
Clayton ultimately landed with the Mavericks on a two-way agreement. Pedulla offers another possibility for a team still trying to replace some of the ball-handling it lost with Simmons.
Pedulla appeared in seven NBA games for the Clippers last season and spent substantial time in the G League. A two-way contract would give Sacramento a chance to evaluate him at the NBA level while continuing his development.
