Hawks guard Dejounte Murray will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of a left ankle sprain, per Lauren L. Williams of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Murray suffered the injury in Wednesday’s loss to the Knicks and was forced to exit the game after just four minutes.
The Hawks have been battling the injury bug lately, with forward John Collins expected to miss another week or so with a sprained ankle of his own. Meanwhile, small forward De’Andre Hunter has a hip issue and guard Trae Young is sick and missed practice on Thursday, Williams noted.
Murray, 26, is 6-foot-4 and averaging 20.8 points, 6.2 assists and 5.4 rebounds, shooting 45 percent from the field and 37 percent on 3-pointers, in his first season with the Hawks. He has appeared in 20 of their first 25 games.
