The Bucks have signed guard/forward Elijah Hughes to a contract, according to the RealGM transactions log.
Along with that move, the Bucks officially signed wing Glenn Robinson III to what was reportedly an Exhibit 10 deal, as we relayed here. That is likely the same deal Hughes received, given that Milwaukee already has 15 players on guaranteed standard contracts.
Hughes, 25, is 6-foot-5 and last played in the NBA during the 2021-22 season with both the Jazz and Trail Blazers. He originally was selected with the No. 39 overall pick in the 202 NBA Draft. He was traded to the Blazers the next day.
With the signings, the Bucks now have 20 players on their preseason roster, one short of the limit.
Both Hughes and Robinson are likely headed to the Wisconsin Herd of the G League, where they will be eligible for a $75,000 bonus should they remain with the organization for 60 days. That is assuming Hughes was also signed to a contract with an Exhibit 10 clause.
