Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocol, as first relayed by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Budenholzer, 52, becomes the 12th of the NBA’s 30 head coaches to have entered the protocol this season. He will be replaced on the sideline by top assistant Darvin Ham.
Budenholzer and the Bucks are coming off their first NBA championship in 50 years and second in franchise history. He has compiled a 187-79 record in his four seasons with Milwaukee.
Before that, he coached the Hawks for five seasons. Overall, Budenholzer’s record stands at 400-276, for a winning percentage of .592.
Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will also miss Wednesday’s game vs. the Raptors with a non-COVID illness, per Jim Owzarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
