Kings To Work Out Jae Crowder, TJ Warren, Nassir Little

The Kings are bringing in some NBA veterans for workouts this week, with the list including forwards Jae Crowder and T.J. Warren, per Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 and Sam Amick of The Athletic.Jae Crowder, Bucks, Kings, NBA

Sacramento also intends to work out forward Nassir Little, Amick added.

Crowder, 34, is 6-foot-6 and spent each of the previous two seasons with the Bucks before entering this summer as an unrestricted free agent. He appeared in 50 games with Milwaukee in 2023-24, compiling averages of 6.2 points and 3.2 rebounds, shooting 34.9% on 3-pointers. Frankly, he could fit well as a 3-and-D veteran on a Kings team that had plenty of offensive weapons in De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and newcomer DeMar DeRozan.

Warren, 31, is 6-8 and finished last season with the Timberwolves, signing a 10-day deal in March. He eventually landed a standard deal and appeared in 11 games, averaging 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds. He split the 2022-23 season with the Nets and Suns, averaging 7.5 points.

His two best seasons came with the Pacers in 2019 and 2020, though a serious foot injury sidelined him for all of 2021-22. He really hasn’t been the same since.

Little, 24, is 6-5 and was recently waived by the Suns. He appeared in 45 games with Phoenix last season, averaging 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds, after spending the first four years of his career with the Trail Blazers.

The Kings are aiming to return to the playoffs after being eliminated by the Pelicans in the play-in tournament. They already have 14 players on standard contracts and signing a 15th could move them incredibly close to luxury-tax territory.
