Bucks Not Interested In Trade For Suns’ Bradley Beal

Despite some reports to the contrary, the Milwaukee Bucks do not have interest in trading for Phoenix Suns shooting guard Bradley Beal, per NBA insider Chris Haynes.Bradley Beal, Suns, NBA

Haynes specifically described the Bucks-Beal connection as “nonexistent.”

Milwaukee has been linked to Beal by multiple reports, perhaps as part of a potential deal that would send Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat to the Suns. It is believed the Suns will need a third team to act as a facilitator in any effort to acquire Butler.

Meanwhile, Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract, allowing him to nix any deal. It is believed he’s open to waiving that right, provided the situation is right.

Despite having $160 million remaining on his contract over the next two seasons, Beal is intent on joining a contender, which was part of his rationale when he initially selected the Suns as a preferred destination during trade talks in 2023.

At the time, the Suns, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, and Sacramento Kings were on Beal’s list of acceptable destinations.

However, with the Suns currently struggling to find their stride this season, the situation has changed. Beal has expressed a willingness to explore other options, but only if Phoenix formally requests it.

Milwaukee is open to making some trades, sources told Hoops Wire, but mostly around the edge of the roster. Guard Pat Connaughton is supposedly among the players the Bucks are willing to move.

The NBA trade deadline is February 6.

  1. This is great!

Media have been trying to orchestrate Butler out of Miami. Trying to move all the pieces around to other teams as if the teams will just do these moves to make everybody else happy. It’s a trend that has increased in recent years. They especially do it with the major market teams, expecting small market teams to facilitate their wishes.

And Stephen A’s diatribe directed at Beal saying your team doesn’t want you there.. to get him to waive his no trade clause was absolutely ridiculous. Below the belt. Not a sports reporter’s job to lecture at the talent.

This is just great. Milwaukee is saying NOPE.

Maybe they need an offer they can’t refuse. Or maybe they’re a strong no. Either way, I love it. These teams don’t exist just to make a few greedy people happy. Thank you Milwaukee!
