The Chicago Bulls are adding another notable name to their coaching search.
According to Marc J. Spears of Andscape, the Bulls have received permission to interview Johnnie Bryant for their head coaching vacancy.

Bryant has increasingly become one of the NBA’s hottest coaching names over the past couple of years, and many around the league believe it’s only a matter of time before he lands a head coaching opportunity somewhere.
The 39-year-old just completed his second season on Kenny Atkinson’s staff in Cleveland, helping guide the Cavaliers to the Eastern Conference finals before they were swept by the New York Knicks.
Before joining the Cavs, Bryant spent four seasons with the Knicks as associate head coach under Tom Thibodeau.
He also spent several years with the Utah Jazz organization, where he developed a strong reputation for player development and relationship-building.
Bryant is known to share a particularly close connection with Donovan Mitchell dating back to their Utah days together.
Last offseason, Bryant emerged as a finalist for the Phoenix Suns’ head coaching position before Phoenix ultimately hired former Cavs assistant Jordan Ott.
Bryant, who played at the University of Utah, now has 12 years of NBA assistant coaching experience and appears firmly on the radar again as teams begin reshaping coaching staffs.
