The Cavaliers have agreed to a three-year, $18.5 million contract extension with forward Dean Wade, sources told Hoops Wire.
Wade, 25, is 6-foot-9 and just completed his third NBA season, all with the Cavs. He averaged 5.3 points and 2.9 rebounds, shooting 46 percent from the field and 36 percent on 3-points in 51 games in 2021-22.
Wade started 28 of those games, but suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee in March, when he was ruled out for the season.
The Cavs exercised Wade’s fourth-year team option in June, guaranteeing a $1.9 million deal. They tip off training camp Tuesday with 14 players now under fully guaranteed contract.
