Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen did not practice Tuesday and is not expected to make the trip for the road game vs. the Bucks on Wednesday, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
Allen is experiencing ankle soreness, causing him to miss Sunday’s loss to the Timberwolves. Sources told Hoops Wire on Sunday that Allen was considered day-to-day.
Allen, 24, is coming off an All-Star season and averaging 14.0 points and 11.5 rebounds, shooting 56 percent from the field, in 11 games.
While he is expected not to play vs. the Bucks, the Cavs should at least have All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell. After missing the loss to the Timberwolves with a right ankle strain, Mitchell returned to practice Tuesday and is expected to play Wednesday.
Meanwhile, reports out of Cavs practice say that forward Dean Wade (knee) did not practice.
The Cavs (8-5) have lost four straight following an eight-game winning streak. Following Wednesday’s game, they return to Cleveland to play four in a row at home.
