The Celtics aren’t lowering the bar when it comes to Jaylen Brown.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Boston has informed interested teams it is seeking at least four first-round picks in any trade involving the four-time All-Star.
“From my understanding, the Celtics have asked teams for at least four first-round picks for Jaylen Brown,” Charania said Friday on ESPN’s Get Up, via RealGM.

The reported asking price comes as Boston continues to explore the market for Brown following an offseason in which the franchise has weighed ways to reshape its roster while remaining competitive.
League sources have previously indicated the Celtics are determined to avoid a lengthy rebuild, with Jayson Tatum and Derrick White still viewed as cornerstone pieces.
Charania also reported earlier this offseason that Boston discussed Brown and future draft compensation with the Bucks in an unsuccessful attempt to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Whether another team is willing to meet Boston’s current asking price remains to be seen. Brown is entering his age-29 season and remains one of the league’s premier two-way wings, making him one of the most coveted players potentially available this summer.
Any deal would likely require more than draft capital alone, as the Celtics would almost certainly seek players capable of helping them remain in the playoff picture while Tatum recovers and beyond.
Brown averaged 24.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists while earning another All-Star selection this past season.
