Ron Harper Jr. is sticking around with the Celtics.
That’s because Boston agreed to a three-year, $9 million contract with Harper, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. Boston is declining its $2.6 million team option as part of the agreement.

Harper earned his way onto the roster after signing a training camp deal last offseason. He eventually converted his two-way contract into a standard NBA deal and appeared in 29 games, averaging 4.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10.9 minutes.
The 25-year-old forward spent the first two seasons of his NBA career with the Raptors before joining the Celtics.
Harper is the son of former NBA guard Ron Harper and brother to Spurs guard Dylan Harper.
Ron Jr. signed a prorated three-year veteran’s minimum contract with the Celtics in early April. The structure of the deal allowed Boston to remain below the luxury tax while filling its 15th roster spot.
