Clippers Sign Jordan Miller To Four-Year Deal, Waive MarJon Beauchamp

The Clippers have agreed to a four-year contract with second-year wing Jordan Miller, promoting him from his two-way deal to the team’s 15-man roster, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN. To make room for Miller, the Clippers will waive forward MarJon Beauchamp.Jordan Miller, NBA, Clippers

Miller, selected 48th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, played limited minutes as a rookie, totaling just 28 minutes over eight appearances. However, in the 2024-25 season, he has seen increased playing time, averaging 4.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 12.4 minutes per game across 30 contests.

The move comes as Miller approaches the 50-game limit for two-way players, making the timing of the promotion strategic for the Clippers. It also opens up a two-way slot for the team before the March 4 deadline.

While Miller’s impact in the NBA has been modest, he has excelled in the G League, where he played for the San Diego Clippers. He averaged 20.9 points per game in 39 games last season, shooting 49.1% from the field, 35.5% from three, and 82.9% from the free-throw line. This season, his production has improved, with 23.9 points per game on 50.9% shooting in seven games.

Charania reports that Miller’s new four-year contract is valued at $8.3 million, though his salary for the remainder of this season will be $1 million, pushing the Clippers’ team salary above the tax line. The Clippers are expected to use a portion of their mid-level exception to complete the signing. The contract structure suggests that the final three years may feature little to no guaranteed money, providing the team with flexibility.

Beauchamp, drafted 24th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2022, has struggled to carve out a consistent role in the NBA. In 129 career games, he averaged 4.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.2 minutes per game.

The Clippers acquired Beauchamp from the Bucks at the trade deadline in a deal that sent Kevin Porter Jr. to Milwaukee. The move was financially motivated, as the Clippers sought to avoid Porter’s 2025/26 player option and will not carry any dead money for Beauchamp beyond this season.
