Dates Set For Cavs-Pacers Eastern Conference Semifinals Series

The Cavaliers and Pacers at least now know the days on which they’ll be playing, if not the times.Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, Cavaliers, NBA

As we already relayed, Game 1 will be held Sunday at Rocket Arena. Time TBD.

Now we also know that Game 2 will take place Tuesday, also at Rocket Arena, also TBD on the whole time thing.

The entire series schedule breaks down this way:

  • Game 1 — May 4, Cleveland
  • Game 2 — May 6, Cleveland
  • Game 3 — May 9, Indiana
  • Game 4 — May 11, Indiana
  • Game 5 — May 13, Cleveland*
  • Game 6 — May 15, Indiana*
  • Game 7 — May 18, Cleveland*
    (* if necessary)

As for tipoff times, yes, we are still waiting. The NBA, and broadcast networks, likely want to wait and see if they have any Game 7s in Round One, which remain a possibility, before setting exact times.

There’s also the idea that some Game 1s of the second round will take priority on ABC, which impacts the start times of those that are not. Frankly, I think the Cavs and Pacers are likely to get a lot of run on NBA TV. That may not be fair, but if we know the NBA, we know they prefer to keep the larger markets on ABC, TNT, and ESPN.
