Hawks, Suns, Jazz Have Talked Three-Team Trade

The Hawks, Suns and Jazz have discussed a three-team trade that involved forwards John Collins of Atlanta and Jae Crowder of Phoenix, as relayed by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.John Collins

The deal would send Collins to the Jazz, Crowder and others to the Hawks, and Jazz big man Jarred Vanderbilt and shooting guard Malik Beasley to the Suns, Scotto relayed, citing a report from Shams Charania on Bally Sports.

Suns guard Landry Shamet was also part of the discussion and would be sent to the Hawks, per Scotto.

Right now, though, it does not appear as if such a deal will happen — though this is the NBA, and things are almost always revisited in some shape or form. What we do seem to know for sure is the Hawks have made Collins available and the Jazz have been cited repeatedly as a team with interest.

Along with that, the Suns are aggressively trying to move Crowder, who is holding out and has yet to play this season.

As an aside, the Hawks have been eyeing several forwards in exchange for Collins, including the Jazz’s Lauri Markkanen and Wizards’ Kyle Kuzma, per Scotto. It is not believed either of those players is available.

Also, as Scotto relayed, Beasley has made it clear his preference is to remain with the Jazz and have them pick up the player option on his contract before he hits free agency.

Per Charania, the talks with the Suns and Hawks stalled when the Jazz asked for multiple first-round picks along with Collins.
