Hornets’ Miles Bridges seeks psychological evaluation in ongoing dispute with ex

Hornets forward Miles Bridges has asked a court to order a psychological evaluation of his ex-girlfriend, Mychelle Johnson, as part of an ongoing legal dispute, according to a report from TMZ.

Citing court filings, TMZ reported that Bridges alleges Johnson has demonstrated erratic behavior in recent months and an “obsessive fixation” on his current relationship.

The two share four minor children and have operated under a temporary custody and support agreement since 2023.

In the filing, Bridges claims Johnson has engaged in repeated late-night and early-morning communications that he characterized as emotionally charged. He also alleged she has threatened to disclose private information about him.

Johnson has denied making any such threats, according to the report.

The request for a psychological evaluation follows a separate development earlier this month, when a judge granted Bridges a temporary restraining order against Johnson, per TMZ. The order directs her not to contact or harass Bridges or his current girlfriend and to avoid alleged cyberstalking.

Bridges’ filings also included claims that Johnson appeared at a Hornets home game and attempted to tamper with his vehicle, among other allegations. Those claims have not been independently verified.

Johnson has not publicly responded to the latest filing.

Bridges, 28, is in his eighth NBA season and averaged 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists for Charlotte this year.

He has been involved in prior legal matters related to his relationship with Johnson, including a 2022 case in which he pleaded no contest to a felony domestic violence charge and received three years of probation.
