Knicks championship book already available, if you’ve got $99 lying around

The Knicks waited 53 years for another NBA championship. New Yorkers waited about 53 minutes to start selling commemorative books.

Shortly after the Knicks wrapped up their 94-90 win over the Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, the New York Post began promoting a championship coffee-table book celebrating New York’s historic season.

The publication is titled “Year of the Knicks” and includes the Post’s coverage of the team’s run to its first NBA title since 1973.

According to the Post, the oversized hardcover book features newspaper-style reproductions of stories and front pages from throughout the season and postseason.

The price? A cool $99.

Then again, after waiting more than five decades for another championship, many Knicks fans probably aren’t too worried about the cost right now.

Jalen Brunson‘s 45-point performance in Game 5 officially ended the drought and delivered a title that generations of New York fans had been waiting to see.

Apparently, it also gave collectors their next must-have item.

The parade isn’t until Thursday. The souvenirs are already here.
