NBA Rumors: Knicks, Mitchell Robinson, Bulls, Caleb Wilson, Bucks

Knicks

Mitchell Robinson may not be in a hurry to leave New York.

According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, Robinson is “very open” to re-signing with the Knicks despite uncertainty surrounding the team’s financial situation.

The same reportedly applies to Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III, another free-agent big man expected to draw interest around the league.

Of course, wanting to stay and being able to stay are sometimes two different things.

Knicks owner James Dolan recently indicated the franchise hopes to remain below the second apron, which could complicate efforts to bring back Robinson on a market-value contract.

Meanwhile, Fischer reported that the Lakers have checked in with the Thunder regarding defensive-minded guard Lu Dort as Los Angeles continues exploring potential offseason upgrades.

Bulls

The Bulls appear to have a clear target at No. 4. Specifically, most draft observers expect Chicago to select Caleb Wilson if the board unfolds as anticipated.

But the Bulls also own the No. 15 pick, and that’s where things could get interesting.

According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, Tennessee wing Cameron Carr is one player worth watching.

Carr fits the profile new basketball operations chief Bryson Graham reportedly values, bringing size, athleticism and two-way potential to the table.

Bucks

The Bucks still own the No. 10 pick. Whether Giannis Antetokounmpo is still on the roster when the season begins remains the much bigger question.

With trade speculation continuing to swirl, Milwaukee’s approach to this week’s draft could prove especially important.

The Bucks have reportedly been operating like a team that expects to make multiple selections, which has led to increased curiosity about what they’re planning.

According to Ben Steele of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Tennessee forward Nate Ament is among the prospects who could be in play at No. 10 if he’s still available.

Given all the uncertainty surrounding the franchise, finding a difference-maker in the draft may be more important than ever.
