NBA Rumors: Warriors, Andrew Wiggins, Pelicans, Brandon Ingram, Sixers

Warriors

The Warriors are expected to shop forward Andrew Wiggins in offseason trade talks, per NBA insider Evan Sidery of Fansided.NBA, Andrew Wiggins, Brandon Ingram, Pelicans, Warriors

“Wiggins has $84.7 million remaining on his contract over the next three years,” Sidery wrote. “With the emergence of Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State will attempt to offload Wiggins for a better fit.”

Wiggins has been linked to the Jazz, Trail Blazers and Pistons, among others.

Pelicans

Forward Brandon Ingram has already had his name mentioned in multiple trade rumors and could be the “Plan B option” for the 76ers if they’re not able to land Clippers forward Paul George or other bigger names, per Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.

“Philadelphia can propose a trade offer to the Pelicans centered around draft picks in exchange for Ingram’s expiring contract,” Sidery relayed.

  • Ingram is also being linked to the Cavaliers and Magic. One report suggested if the Pelicans were to pursue Cavs point guard Darius Garland, they would dangle Ingram, considering the salaries would match.
  • Ingram averaged 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists for the Pelicans this season while shooting 49.2% from the field, 35.5% from beyond the arc and 80.1% from the free-throw line. He is eligible to sign an extension this offseason and has also been linked to the Hawks.

76ers

The Hornets, Spurs and Magic are among those who could make a run at unrestricted free agent guard De’Anthony Melton in free agency, per Sidery.

“As the Sixers prepare to star-chase this offseason, Melton could end up elsewhere,” Sidery wrote, noting that Melton is 6-foot-3 with a 6-8 wingspan.
