Patrick Beverley, Timberwolves Agree To Contract Extension

The Timberwolves and guard Patrick Beverley have agreed to a one-year, $13 million contract extension, agent Kevin Bradbury told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.Patrick Beverley

Beverley was acquired by the Wolves prior to the season in a trade with the Grizzlies, via the Clippers. As Wojnarowski wrote, he has “made a significant impact for the Timberwolves on and off the floor upon arriving in offseason trade.”

Beverley, 33, is 6-foot-1 and considered one of the NBA’s scrappiest defenders. He is averaging 9.0 points, 4.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds in his first season in Minnesota.

Beverley has been playing on an expiring deal, so this gives him one more guaranteed year, presumably in Minnesota.
