The Pistons could be looking to shake up their frontcourt.
According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Detroit has made big man Isaiah Stewart available in trade discussions as the offseason gets underway.
Stewart played an important role for a Pistons team that won 60 games this past season, averaging 10.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 58 appearances. He also finished seventh in Sixth Man of the Year voting and ranked among the NBA’s most effective interior defenders, holding opponents to just 43.8 percent shooting at the rim.

Still, Detroit may be comfortable moving forward with a larger role for backup center Paul Reed behind starter Jalen Duren.
Reed was particularly effective during the latter stages of the Pistons’ second-round playoff series against the Cavaliers, averaging 11.4 points and 5.0 rebounds over the final five games while Stewart’s minutes declined significantly.
Stewart is set to earn $15 million next season, with a team option for the same amount in 2027-28. He will also be eligible for a contract extension this summer.
According to Amick, the Pistons remain in the market for additional shooting and playmaking. Stewart’s contract could make him a useful trade piece as Detroit explores ways to address those needs.
Veteran guard Caris LeVert, forward Ron Holland and guard Marcus Sasser are among the other players viewed as potential trade candidates, Amick added.
Meanwhile, Detroit is expected to keep tabs on several free-agent options. Amick confirmed previous reports linking the Pistons to Lakers guard Austin Reaves and Thunder wing Isaiah Joe.
