The Suns are taking care of business when it comes to their own free agents.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, guard Jordan Goodwin intends to sign a three-year, $19 million contract to remain in Phoenix. The deal includes a player option for the third season.
It’s another significant move for a Suns team that has spent the past several days working to keep together a roster that returned to the playoffs.

Goodwin, 26, emerged as one of Phoenix’s most reliable reserves after earning a roster spot out of training camp on a non-guaranteed contract. He averaged 8.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists while leading the team with 106 steals.
More than the numbers, Goodwin became the type of player coaches love having around — tough, versatile and willing to do whatever is needed.
The agreement comes one day after the Suns reached a four-year, $48 million deal with guard Collin Gillespie, another player who developed into an important contributor over the past year.
Taken together, the moves suggest Phoenix is placing a premium on continuity and rewarding players who helped establish the culture the organization has been trying to build.
Now comes the next challenge.
As Charania noted, the Suns’ attention is expected to shift toward restricted free agent center Mark Williams, whose future remains one of the team’s biggest unresolved offseason questions.
