Former NBA forward/center Thon Maker has agreed to a contract with Al Riyadi Beirut of Lebanon, per the Real GM transactions log.
Maker, 27, is 7-foot-0 and was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
He spent his first two-plus seasons with the Bucks before being traded to the Detroit Pistons in February in a deal that also involved the New Orleans Pelicans.
He made a game-winning 3-pointer against the Atlanta Hawks a couple weeks later — but the Pistons opted not to extend him a qualifying offer after the 2019-20 season.
Maker then signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers for 2020-21 and appeared in eight games. He has been out of the NBA since, having spent time in the G League, Israel and China. He carries NBA career averages of 4.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 44 percent shooting, including 37 percent on 3-pointers.
