West Notes: Warriors, Draymond Green, Kings, Lakers

Warriors

Forward Draymond Green missed his second straight game with a knee injury and could be headed for an MRI, per Kendra Andrews of ESPN.

Coach Steve Kerr called the injury a “setback,” especially given how the Warriors have already been without injured star guard Stephen Curry. Green suffered the injury against the Lakers on Thursday.

Kings

In case you missed it, the Kings have signed shooting guard PJ Dozier for the remainder of the season, as relayed by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Dozier had been on consecutive 10-day contracts. He had appeared in four games through Sunday.

In order to make room for Dozier, the Kings waived power forward KZ Okpala, who made 35 appearances and averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds.

Lakers

Coach Darvin Ham was pleased with how the Lakers overcame a 27-point deficit on the road to stun the Mavericks.

“The guys never got discouraged,” Ham told reporters. “They had that look of frustration, but it wasn’t a look of defeatedness on their faces. Everybody just wanted to stay encouraged.”

The Lakers started 0-of-15 on 3-pointers, but wound up outscoring Dallas by a 62-32 in the paint.

  • In case you missed it, star forward LeBron James and the Lakers intend to monitor his right foot injury, suffered in Sunday’s win. We have that full post here.
