Cavs’ Jarrett Allen Ruled Out For Game 5

CLEVELAND — Center Jarrett Allen may be the Cavaliers’ best player through their first four games of the NBA playoffs. We won’t know if he could’ve been in Game 5.

That’s because was ruled out with a rib contusion, suffered in the Game 4 loss at Orlando.

Coach J.B. Bickerstaff said Allen was elbowed in the ribs in the second half of that game. While it doesn’t appear to be serious, Allen would have at least had to wear a protective jacket on his ribs had he played, Bickerstaff said. 

Isaac Okoro was penciled in as the starter in Allen’s place. He is expected to be day-to-day moving forward.
