SECOND ROUND
31. Phoenix Suns: Rasheer Fleming, F, St. Joe’s
Was projected to go in first round. Great length, athleticism. Can knock down perimeter shots. Can defend multiple positions. Could very well be a 3-and-D guy at the NBA level.
32. Orlando Magic: Noah Penda, SF/PF, Le Mans
Excellent off-ball defender. Great feel for game, strong passer. Not super explosive or a great outside shooter. A Swiss Army knife.
33. Charlotte Hornets: Sion James, SF, Duke
Very physical, excellent athlete, strong defender. Takes good care of the ball, cuts well. Remarkably steady. Needs to improve shooting.
34. Charlotte Hornets: Ryan Kalkbrenner, C, Creighton
Defensive force in college. Not very athletic, but hard to beat a 7-foot-4 reach. Likely a plug-and-play guy because of his shotblocking. Doesn’t make mistakes.
35. Philadelphia 76ers: Johni Broome, C, Auburn
Undersized center who started as a wing player in college. Excellent at the rim offensively, especially on glass. Carves out space near basket and finishes.
36. Los Angeles Lakers: Adou Thiero, F, Arkansas
Plays hard. Long, athletic, physical. May be the best dunker in the entire draft. Limited jump shooter, but fantastic in transition. Steps in passing lanes to disrupt opposing offenses.
37. Detroit Pistons: Chaz Lanier, SG, Tennessee
Great shooter, especially on catch-and-shoot. Finds ways to get open and knock it down. Nice pull-up game with deep range.
38. Indiana Pacers: Kam Jones, PG/SG, Marquette
Lefty who made the move to point from shooting guard this past season. Career 38 percent on 3s. Does a great job of creating space for himself.
39. Toronto Raptors: Alijah Martin, SG , Florida
Wasn’t on many draft boards, but physical guard and strong defender. Another guy with an effective pull-up game.
40. New Orleans Pelicans: Micah Peavy, F, Georgetown.
Good size. Gifted athlete, great motor. Plays incredibly hard. Gets steals, gets out in transition and gets to the rim. Forces turnovers. Solid all around.
41. Phoenix Suns: Koby Brea, SG/SF, Kentucky
Led the nation in 3-point percentage at a sizzling 50 percent. Finds ways to get open, and will bury it even well-defended. Not great at the other end, hence the slide.
42. Sacramento Kings: Maxime Raynaud, PF/C, Stanford
Wide body with strong footwork. Strong fundamentally, takes us space in the lane and alters shots defensively.
43. Washington Wizards: Jamir Watkins, SG/SF, Florida State
Electrifying defender, long and athletic. Fared well at the NBA combine. Good finisher at the basket, gets out in transition.
44. Oklahoma City Thunder: Brooks Barnhizer, G/F, Northwestern
Well-rounded, high IQ player. Excellent defender, tough as nails. Good shooter who forces nothing.
45. Minnesota Timberwolves: Rocco Zikarsky, C, Australia
Only 18 years old. Incredible size at 7-foot-4, can practically dunk without jumping. Covers lots of ground and space. Will be third-tallest player in NBA if he makes it.
46. Boston Celtics: Amari Williams, C, Kentucky
Lefty and excellent passer. Good rebounder. Funky release on his shot. Long body who can disrupt opposing offenses.
47. Milwaukee Bucks: Bogoljub Markovic, PF/C, Mega Superbet
Highly skilled big man, who can put ball on floor, hit outside shots. Takes up space. Big upside.
48. Memphis Grizzlies: Javon Small, G, West Virginia
One of the most athletic guards in draft. Quick, crafty and good at the point of attack on defense. Three-level scorer. Clutch.
49. Cleveland Cavaliers (via Milwaukee): Tyrese Proctor, PG, Duke
Sharpshooter and heady player who can play either guard spot effectively. Makes winning plays, stays within himself. Nice combo guard at 6-foot-5.
50. Los Angeles Clippers: Kobe Sanders, G, Nevada
Smooth, excels in half-court game. Nice pull-up game, smart player who always makes the right decision. Needs work at the defensive end.
51. New York Knicks: Mohamed Diawara, F, France
Strong physical tools, defensive versatility. Decent passer, has a high upside as a skilled all-around forward.
52. Golden State Warriors: Alex Toohey, G/F, Australia
Good catch-and-shoot player with decent athleticism. Finds ways to put the ball in the hoop. Gets after it defensively. Quickness is a bit of an issue.
53. Utah Jazz: John Tonje, SF, Wisconsin
Strong frame, tough. Aggressive and strong shooter with a high release. Gets to the free-throw line.
54. Indiana Pacers: Taelon Peter, SG, Liberty
Tough guard and outstanding shooter. Hit 57 percent from the field and 45 percent on 3s. Good vision as a passer. Surprise pick, even here.
55. Memphis Grizzlies: Lachlan Olbrich, F/C, Australia
Excellent passer for a big man. Creative with strong ball-handling skills. Could use another year of seasoning overseas.
56. Golden State Warriors: Will Richard, G, Florida
Prototypical 3-and-D prospect. Can play off dribble, but best at catch-and-shoot. Not a natural NBA athlete but will kill you if left open.
57. Boston Celtics: Max Shulga, SG, VCU
Excellent defender and underrated rebounder for a guard. Physical, fights through screens. Offensive game still developing, but contributes via putbacks and hustle plays.
58. Cleveland Cavaliers: Saliou Niang, SF, Italy
Draft-and-stash prospect who has good quickness and athleticism. Nice feel for the game. Needs to develop outside shot.
59. Golden State Warriors: Jahmai Mashack
Good passer who keeps ball moving, offense connected. NBA body and lots of toughness. great footwork on defensive end.
