The Clippers may have had a trade conversation or two centered on star forward Paul George, but it doesn’t appear he’ll be on the move before or after Thursday’s NBA Draft.
Per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Clippers are likely to keep George and fellow forward Kawhi Leonard, running it back by trying to retool the roster around them.
The Trail Blazers reportedly have been dangling the No. 3 pick, and some of those talks involved George, as we relayed here.
Also, the Clippers and Knicks discussed a potential George trade earlier this week, per Ian Begley of SNY.tv.
As Marc Stein of The Stein Line relayed, Leonard and George have been on the court together for just 142 games in four seasons.
The Blazers, in particular, have been aggressive in shopping the No. 3 pick, it seems. Much of what they do this offseason will determine whether star guard Damian Lillard wants to remain with the franchise, per multiple ESPN reports.
