For the first time in the Damian Lillard, the Milwaukee Bucks are really cooking.
That could be evidenced by their 130-111 hammer job of the New York Knicks on the road Saturday — the Bucks’ seventh straight win.
And Milwaukee has truly had its way with New York lately, walloping the Knicks by a 146-122 count in the In-Season Tournament back on Dec. 5.
“They’ve just seen us at different stages of the season, as far as who we are as a team. I think right now we’re at our best as far as this season goes,” Lillard told reporters.
On Saturday, Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 28 points, seven assists and seven rebounds, Bobby Portis added 23 points and 11 boards, Khris Middleton scored 20 and Lillard had 19.
It’s the type of balance that lead the Bucks (22-7) to believe they could be on their way to even bigger and better things.
“No, it’s not going to be easy, but you do the things that go into winning, you’ve got a good chance,” coach Adrian Griffin said.
