International Notes: Manny Harris, Serbia, Dusko Ivanovic, Greece

Lebanon

  • Former NBA guard Manny Harris has signed with Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, per reports. Harris, 34, last played in the NBA in 2016-17, when he appeared in four games with the Mavericks.
  • His NBA career began in 2010 with the Cavaliers. He later played nine games with the Lakers. Overall, Harris has appeared in 93 NBA games and compiled averages of 6.2 points and 2.7 rebounds.
  • Meanwhile, ex-NBA guard Aaron Harrison, most recently of Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, has signed with  FC Porto Ferpinta of Portugal.

Serbia

  • Defending Serbian league champion KK Crvena parted ways with coach Dusko Ivanovic after a 1-3 start to the season. Seems a little harsh after having just won a title. He also coached in Greece (Panathinaikos), Montenegro, Russia (Khimki), Spain (Baskonia), Switzerland, and Turkey (Besiktas).
  • Veteran guard Milan Radivojevic agreed to a contract with AGS Ioanninon, per Chris Mammides of EuroBasket. Radivojevic, 34, spent the past three seasons with Zdravlje.

Greece

You’re never too old to play for Athlos Alexandreias of Greece. Just ask center Omiros Terzopoulos — who is 42-years old and recently signed with the club.

That’s right, Terzopoulos is 42. And starting anew. He actually took last season off but appears as ready as ever to resume his pro hoops career.

As Mammides noted, Athlos may be where Terzopoulos ends his career. Or maybe not, too. After all, why stop now?

  • Athlos Alexandreias also signed guard Dimitris Giovanopoulos, per Mammides. Giovanopoulos, 30, took last season off as well.
  • Along with that, Athlos added guard Thomas Mellios, who most recently played for Koupa Kilkis.
