Knicks
The Knicks don’t expect Jalen Brunson‘s offseason wrist procedure to affect the start of next season.
As first reported by Knicks Fan TV, Brunson recently underwent surgery to address an injury involving his left wrist, hand and forearm after playing through it during New York’s championship run.
The recovery is expected to take roughly two months, though ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Brunson should be able to resume basketball activities later this summer.
That’s obviously welcome news for the Knicks.
Brunson capped one of the best seasons of his career by averaging 28.4 points during the playoffs and earning NBA Finals MVP honors after leading New York to its first championship since 1973.
Mavericks
The Mavericks are expected to bring one of Europe’s top shooters to the NBA.
According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, Tarik Biberovic is leaving Fenerbahce to sign a two-year, $6 million contract with Dallas. Stein reported the deal will include a team option for the second season.
The 25-year-old wing has spent the past three years developing overseas after Dallas acquired his draft rights in the Santi Aldama trade.
Biberovic helped Fenerbahce capture the 2025 EuroLeague title and shot nearly 42 percent from three-point range last season, giving the Mavericks another perimeter threat as they continue reshaping their roster.
The biggest hurdle now may be his buyout, with Biberovic potentially responsible for a portion of the amount owed to his Turkish club.
Warriors
The Warriors had interest in Rui Hachimura and Anfernee Simons. They simply weren’t willing to pay what it took.
Anthony Slater of ESPN reported Golden State explored both players before Hachimura signed with the Clippers and Simons joined the Sixers.
According to Slater, the Warriors ultimately preferred bringing back De’Anthony Melton rather than matching Philadelphia’s offer for Simons, believing Melton is a better fit alongside their healthy core because of his defensive versatility and ability to play multiple backcourt roles.
In other words, Golden State prioritized fit over making another splash.
Whether that proves to be the right call won’t be known until the season gets underway.
