The Clippers are signing free agent wings Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Seth Lundy to two-way contracts, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN.
To accommodate the new signings, the Clippers will promote Jordan Miller to the standard 15-man roster and waive big man Kai Jones.
Baldwin, 22, was selected 28th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft by Golden State. The 6-foot-9 forward has appeared in 91 career NBA games, averaging 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 9.0 minutes per game. He was traded from Washington to San Antonio in a four-team deal involving Kyle Kuzma and Khris Middleton last month before being waived by the Spurs.
Lundy, 25, was the 46th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He spent his rookie season on a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks, appearing in nine games. Lundy, who has dealt with an ankle injury, was waived by the Hawks in December after failing to play in the NBA or G League this season.
Jones, the 19th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, appeared in 28 games for the Clippers this season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.4 minutes per game. Jones had a regular role earlier in the season but has seen limited playing time in recent weeks.
The Clippers’ roster moves, which also include the waiving of MarJon Beauchamp, bring the team’s roster back to 18 players, with 15 on standard contracts and three on two-way deals.
