NBA Notes: Knicks, Moussa Cisse, Suns, Luke Kennard, Stanley Johnson

Knicks

The Knicks continue searching for frontcourt depth.

According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, New York has signed Mavericks restricted free agent center Moussa Cisse to a two-year offer sheet.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported the first season is 50 percent guaranteed, while the second year is non-guaranteed. Bobby Marks added that the 2026-27 salary would become fully guaranteed on Oct. 1.

Dallas has until Monday night to decide whether to match.

Cisse, 23, averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 38 games as a rookie last season after earning a promotion from a two-way contract. Fischer added the Knicks previously explored trades for Pelicans center Yves Missi and Hornets big man Moussa Diabate before extending the offer sheet to Cisse.

Suns

The Suns believe Luke Kennard can help replace some of the outside shooting they lost this offseason.

As Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic noted, Phoenix traded away Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale, leaving Kennard as its primary addition on the perimeter.

Kennard has led the NBA in three-point percentage three times during his career and is coming off a postseason with the Lakers in which he took on a more aggressive offensive role.

While he hasn’t attempted as many threes as Allen over the past three seasons, Phoenix is hoping his accuracy helps offset some of the production it lost on the wing.

International

Former first-round pick Patrick Baldwin Jr. is headed to Serbia.

According to Sportando, Baldwin has signed with Crvena Zvezda after spending last season with the Clippers, Sixers and Kings organizations.

Meanwhile, former lottery pick Stanley Johnson has signed with Japan’s Gunma Crane Thunders after helping Nagasaki Velca capture a league championship last season.
